Aberdeen star Connor Barron has signed a new deal - with Adidas.
The Scotland under-21 cap has agreed a lucrative, two-year boot and clothing contract with the sporting giant. Barron is the latest young Scot to be snapped up by Adidas, following in the footsteps of former Aberdeen teammate and Liverpool youngster Calvin Ramsay.
Scotland under-19 cap and highly-rated Aston Villa striker Rory Wilson has also signed a long-term deal with Adidas as the look to the next generation of top talent. He is one of Aberdeen's prize assets since he returned from a loan spell in League Two with Kelty Hearts in January and former manager Stephen Glass gave him his big break in the Pittodrie first-team. Barron has recently come back from injury but when he has been fit he has been one of the first names on the team sheet and one of Aberdeen's most creative players.
Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack recently revealed that his club have made a move to extend Barron's contract. There is no panic from either side as Barron still has a deal until the summer of 2024 and more than two years to run, having signed an extension last season.
