Motorists were facing waits on the A52 in Nottinghamshire following a crash. Traffic was queuing on both carriageways between Gamston roundabout and Wheatcroft Island in Edwalton.
A reader submitted photo from early in the afternoon today (December 14) shows the scene of a collision. Nottingham Travelwise said at the time: "A52 between Wheatcroft Island and Gamston Lings Bar Road. There is heavy congestion building on both northbound and southbound. Please look to use alternative routes where possible."
Traffic monitoring site Inrix added: "Traffic heavier than normal and queueing traffic on A52 in both directions from A6011 (Gamston roundabout, Gamston ) to A606 Melton Road (Wheatcroft Island, Edwalton)."
