A man is in hospital fighting for his life following a serious crash in Leeds this morning (December 13). At around 6.48am today, West Yorkshire Police received reports of a crash involving a motorbike and a van on Easterly Road in Seacroft.
The road has been closed and drivers are being advised to avoid the area. The man who was riding the bike has been taken to hospital in a critical condition. People are asked to seek alternative routes if they are on the road and police are asking for anyone with information to contact them.
INRIX reports: "A58 Easterly Road in both directions closed slow traffic, delays due to accident between Wetherby Road (Seacroft, Leeds) and Asket Hill (Roundhay, Leeds). Congestion to Ring Road and A6120."

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 6.48am today, police received a report of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a van at the junction of Easterly Road and Boggart Hill Drive, Seacroft.
"The male motorcyclist has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
"Road closures are in place around the scene and drivers are advised to avoid the area and to seek alternative routes.
