Coronation Street fans have been left completely baffled after watching Max Turner get caught up in a bomb horror. As viewers of the ITV soap know, the teen is completely oblivious that he's being groomed by eco-warrior Griff into joining his extremist gang.
It started when Griff, played by Michael Condron, spotted Max being the victim of persistent school bullies and at the time, Max was also mad at his family for accusing him of being Maria Windass' troll and turning him in to the police.
Things have since escalated, with Griff targeting Alya Nazir and her new Speed Daal waiter Daryan and clashing with councilor Maria Windass over her refugee project while also roping Max in to help with their propaganda videos but buying him a new top-quality laptop for all his editing.

But the latest twist showed just how dangerous Griff is as Max found himself in the hospital. Griff took himself and his cronies - including undercover cop Spider Nugent - on a camping trip. The gang's ring-leader got the group running, with Max coming back last after a fall.
He then instructed David Platt's son to skin a rabbit caught for the group's dinner. When he refused, Max walked off only to return later ready for a ride out in the cars. However, Griff brought a bomb with him which Max saw in the boot of the car before they set off.
And as they travelled down a road in the middle of noweher, Max, who was sat in the back of the car, was caught in the crossfire when the bomb suddently exploded. Viewers then saw him laying on the floor unconscious.
Griff and Spider took Max off the nearest hospital with burns and concussion and Griff lied to the nurse about being Max's dad and lying about what really happened, saying a gas canister had randomly exploded during their camping trip.
David and his wife Shona were back on the street, completely unaware of Max's accident and later on, Spider was seen speaking to the police as he desperately asked them to do something before it's too late.
He was then caught on his call by his girlfriend Toyah Habeeb and Spider ended up telling her the truth about being an undercover cop, only for her to think he was lying and rush off in shock. Corrie fans, meanwhile, were flocking to social media as they had the same question of Spider's role in the extremist gang.
@robjh44 tweeted: "Oh c'mon this Griff storyline in #Corrie getting stupid considering they have an undercover officer in the group. How much evidence do they need." @itzzzo_ asked: "How much longer are they going to drag the police not getting Griff out? You’d think a explosive would finally be enough? #Corrie."
@sejalsehmi posted: "So whilst Spider acts as an “undercover cop”, an innocent kid has been beaten up by racists, anti-hate campaigns continue to spread, and he asks the leader of the hate-gang the nature of how Max was hurt. Come on #corrie literally the WORST undercover ever!" Kay Whittle wrote on Facebook: "Please can we stop with this racist story line now and this griff chracter. Bombs what the hell stop it Gone too far."
