Tributes have been pouring in online for a man in his 40s who was killed in the early hours of Monday morning.
The man collided with a wall while driving in the centre of Trim and has since been identified locally as Declan Sheridan.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate the tragic collision that occurred at around 1.55 am on Patrick Street.
Mr. Sheridan was seriously injured during the incident and was taken to Connolly Hospital, in Blanchardstown where he later passed away.

The scene of the collision on Patrick Street was sealed off on Monday afternoon as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conducted a technical examination of the scene.
Gardaí in Trim are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Since his passing, condolences have been posted online for Mr. Sheridan, who is described as a ‘true gentleman.’
He is survived by his wife Grace and three children, Charli, Max, and Tom, his father Henry and mother Rita, sister Amanda and brother Derek.
Among the hundreds of messages, one mourner wrote: “Deepest sympathy to all Declan’s Family on his untimely passing, it was a pleasure to have known and worked with him. A gentleman for sure. May He Rest In Peace.”
Another said: “Absolutely devastated to hear of Declan's passing. A true gentleman & longtime friend.
“My sincere heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, many friends & all who have had the privilege of knowing such a kind, caring guy.
“You will be dearly missed. Heaven only takes the best.... Fly high in the sky my friend. Lorraine & Mickey.”
A third wrote: "Sincere condolences Grace, Charli, Max and Tom, and to the Sheridan and Kiely families. Was very saddened to hear of Declans passing.
"Thinking of you in these very sad and difficult times. Heartbroken for you all. Rest in peace Declan.
Mr. Sheridan’s Funeral Mass will take place in St. Patrick's Church at 11.30 am on Friday with burial afterward in St. Loman's Cemetery.
