A Swansea contestant on the latest episode of Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me surprised herself - and her fellow guests - when she ended up liking a dish that she feared would look like “a big arse-shaped” piece of meat.
The popular show is based in Swansea this week, with five hopefuls confident of taking home £1,000 in cash by wowing their fellow contestants with their culinary choices and skills.
Thursday’s show saw Viking-obsessed Chris host the evening in what was the fourth episode out of five in total.

His main course was garlic-crusted lamp rump with a cockle risotto, which aroused some trepidation given its unusual meat and fish combination.
However, it was Anamika who had the strangest misgiving about the dish.
“When I saw this on the menu I thought - there’s going to be a big arse-shaped meat on my plate.”
Host Chris looked bemused but replied: “Yeah, it’s lamb bum.”
Anamika then elaborated when explaining that she was, having tasted it, a big fan of the dish.
“It’s actually quite nice, not like bum,” she added, causing the others to laugh. She later commended the meat further saying: “It was quite nice and juicy and tender. I was not thinking about the fact that it’s a lamb’s backside.”

The whole topic got contestant Rachel asking herself a very serious question.
“Do Welsh people eat bums on plates? If you’re asking me, I’ll eat anything.”
The other highlight (odd behaviour) of Thursday night’s Swansea show was contestant Luke revealing to the group that he wished he had been on disaster-stricken liner The Titanic, which claimed the lives of around 1,500 passengers when it sunk in 1912.
When host Chris asked the group which bygone era they would travel back to if they could, Luke said: “I would go back to when the Titanic sank because I want to be a part of history.”
Bethan opined that his choice was “a literal death wish”, but a defiant Luke was adamant that he would not have perished on that grand old boat.
“I definitely would have survived,” he said. “I wouldn’t have been stupid enough to jump off and swim. I would have been in a lifeboat and just said I had a kid or something.”
It’ll be a case of sink or swim for all five contestants on Friday when Swansea’s Come Dine With Me concludes on Channel 4 at 5.30pm.
Chris, despite his “arse-shaped meat”, is now in the lead with 33 points out of a possible 40, followed by Luke with 28, Rachel with 27, and Anamika with 25.
