Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is expected to travel with the team to Philadelphia when they visit the Eagles for joint practices ahead of the preseason finale Thursday night.
Taylor, who is returning from an excused absence due to a personal matter, remains on the PUP list. Head coach Shane Steichen said he wasn’t clear whether Taylor will practice, but he will be traveling with the team.
#Colts RB Jonathan Taylor remains on the PUP list and until he comes off it, he won’t practice.
Reminder that JT hasn’t participated in an on-field team activity since Indy’s loss at Minnesota last December. 246 days for those keeping track. https://t.co/VEJrhLBOuP

While the Colts expect Taylor to practice once he’s medically cleared from the PUP list, the contract dispute is something to keep in mind. Taylor doesn’t have the leverage to hold out considering the team can fine him significant amounts of money, but it’s something to monitor.
