Colorado State’s Louis Brown Trolls Deion Sanders With Touchdown Celebration

A lot adjectives could be used to describe Colorado State's performance in the first half against No. 18 Colorado Saturday night. “Scared” is not one of them.

The Rams moved with abandon against the heavily favored Buffaloes, seemingly fired up in the wake of coach Jay Norvell’s widely disseminated comments about Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders. Colorado State jumped out to 1–7 and 21–14 leads, surprising a raucous Folsom Field crowd.

The latter advantage was gained by a 15-yard dart from Rams quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi to wide receiver Louis Brown with 4:08 left in the first half. Brown boldly celebrated his score by imitating the “Deion Shuffle,” Sanders’s trademark touchdown dance from his days as a Hall of Fame cornerback and wide receiver in college and the NFL.

Brown wound up with 101 receiving yards on five catches in the first half, three more yards than he registered in the entire 2022 season. In front of a crowd awash with celebrities, Colorado State took a 21–14 lead into the locker room against its rival of 130 years.
