The hype around Saturday’s game between No. 19 Colorado and No. 10 Oregon in Eugene is at a palpable level due to the incredible job Deion Sanders has done in resurrecting a Buffaloes program that is off to a surprising 3-0 start.
The Buffs, darlings of college football, are dominating headlines due to their swagger, bravado and explosive offense. But some Colorado players might have given the Ducks even more motivation for the matchup Saturday morning during a pregame walkthrough at Autzen Stadium.
A video making the rounds on social media shows several Buffs players walking on the Ducks’ giant “O” logo at midfield, and Colorado safety Trevor Woods was seen raking the logo with his foot.
Former Oregon linebacker Bryson Young subsequently shared his extreme displeasure.
“Listen I’m not in Oregon’s locker room anymore but this is the type of sh*t that fires me up. That O represents a ton of hard work, sacrifice, and success from so many people. Walking over/raking up an opponent’s logo shows zero class. #goducks Enough said,” Young posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Upon seeing the video, former Oregon and current 49ers defensive tackle DeForest Buckner also weighed in.
“Run it up on these fools!”

Former Ducks quarterback Akili Smith also noticed.

Two weeks ago, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders became angry when Nebraska coaches and players stood on the Buffaloes’ logo at midfield prior to the Buffaloes’ 36-14 victory over the Cornhuskers.
It didn’t take long for college football fans to point out the apparent double standard.

I thought @DeionSanders was all about respect… guess his players forgot that. Looks like I will be rooting for the @oregonfootball Ducks after all.

Colorado complains about other people’s lack of respect and how everyone “makes it personal,” then they go and do stuff like this.
