Aside from coach Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines remaining undefeated and claiming the 2024 national championship, the biggest winner of college football bowl season arguably was the Pop-Tarts Bowl and its edible mascot.
With the recent news of EA Sports launching its college football video game this summer, many fans are hoping the Pop-Tarts Bowl mascot is featured on its cover.
A cover mock-up was created by Tennessee graphic designer Trey Morten and shared on social media:

Absolutely electric.
The Pop-Tarts Bowl, sponsored by Kellogg’s and formerly named the Cheez-It Bowl, resulted in the Kansas State Wildcats defeating the N.C. State Wolfpack 28–19 on Dec. 23.
The real show started after the game, however.
The game’s mascot, a giant Strawberry Pop-Tart, climbed atop of a massive toaster on the field and waved goodbye to the fans at Camping World Stadium.
The mascot disappeared into the toaster, and out popped a legitimately edible Pop-Tart “mascot” that was devoured by the victorious Wildcats.

And that, folks, is what college football is all about.
As fans dream of building a new college football dynasty at some obscure program in EA Sports College Football 25, many are pleading to do so with the beloved Pop-Tarts Bowl mascot on the cover:
