A Council investigation is to be launched amid concerns over the area behind a well known statue becoming a ‘dumping ground’.
The move comes amid anger in Coleraine as bins and bags of refuse are left behind the Bertie Peacock statue on the town’s Queen Street.
Over the last few years, a number of bins have been placed within an area behind the statue of the Northern Ireland footballing legend leading some locals to describe it as becoming a ‘dumping ground’.
