At a time when the Texas government has aggressively taken up the issue of H-1B visa holders allegedly stealing American jobs, a report by Dallas Express claimed that two Indian IT conglomerates, Cognizant and Infosys, are the top employers of H-1B visa holders in the state since 2020. The data is from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2025, the report claimed. Cognizant hired 50,666 H-1Bs in this period, while Infosys hired 45,323 in the same period, outpacing all other companies named in the list of top 25 employers.
The third on the list is Oracle America Inc (11,603), followed by Tesla (5,307), KPMG LLP (2,677) etc.
