Coffee Prices Settle Sharply Higher as Supplies Tighten

September arabica coffee (KCU25) on Monday closed up +11.35 (+3.67%), and September ICE robusta coffee (RMU25) closed up +167 (+4.69%).

Coffee prices rallied sharply on Monday, with arabica surging to a 7-week high and robusta soaring to a 4-week high. Signs of tighter coffee supplies are supporting prices after Brazil's Trade Ministry last Wednesday reported that Brazil's July unroasted coffee exports fell -20.4% y/y to 161,000 MT.
