July arabica coffee (KCN24) on Wednesday closed down -1.95 (-0.83%), and July ICE robusta coffee (RMN24) closed up +139 (+3.21%).
Coffee prices Wednesday settled mixed, with robusta rallying sharply to a 2-1/2 month high. Arabica coffee was pressured by weakness in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL), which fell to a 14-month low against the dollar Wednesday. A weaker real encourages export selling by Brazil's coffee producers.
