Coffee Prices Recover Early Losses on Brazil Crop Concerns

December arabica coffee (KCZ24) Monday closed up +1.10 (+0.41%), and November ICE robusta coffee (RMX24) closed up +16 (+0.29%).

Coffee prices recovered from early losses on Monday and posted moderate gains.  Coffee prices initially moved lower on Monday, according to forecasts for substantial showers for the Minas Gerais region in Brazil at the end of this week.  However, coffee prices recovered and moved higher due to concerns that the rain would do little to help the coffee trees already damaged by recent extreme dry and hot temperatures in Brazil.
