Coffee Prices Rally on Weather News

December arabica coffee (KCZ24) today is down -3.20 (-1.27%), and November ICE robusta coffee (RMX24) is down -83 (-1.84%).

Coffee prices are trading lower after giving back most of Monday's rally, which was sparked by Somar Meteorologia's report that rainfall in Brazil's biggest arabica coffee growing area of Minas Gerais received 25.1 mm of rain last week, or only 74% of the historical average.  Meanwhile, robusta coffee prices rallied on Monday on concern that heavy rain from tropical storm Trami might delay Vietnam's coffee harvest, which runs from October to April.
