Coffee prices settled sharply higher on Monday, with arabica posting a 1-week high. Excessive dryness in Brazil's coffee-growing regions has sparked crop concerns ahead of the critical flowering period for coffee trees and is bullish for coffee prices. Somar Meteorologia reported Monday that Brazil's largest arabica coffee-growing area, Minas Gerais, received no rain during the week ended September 6.
