Coffee Prices Extend 2-week Plunge as Frost Risks Recede in Brazil

September arabica coffee (KCU25) Wednesday closed down -6.85 (-2.20%), and September ICE robusta coffee (RMU25) closed down -158 (-4.29%).

Coffee prices on Wednesday extended Tuesday's plunge, with arabica coffee falling to a 5-1/2 month low and robusta sliding to a 13-1/4 month low.  Coffee prices are being hammered this week on reduced frost risks in updated weather forecasts for Brazil's coffee-growing regions of São Paulo and Minas Gerais abate.
