December arabica coffee (KCZ26) is up +6.60 (+2.24%) today, and November ICE robusta coffee (RMX26) is up +12 (+0.36%).
Coffee prices are moving higher today, with arabica posting a 5-week high. Concerns that an El Niño weather pattern could hurt Brazil's and Vietnam’s coffee crops next year are bullish for prices. Coffee trader Commercial said the El Niño weather pattern may delay rains in Brazil this month, when tree flowering normally occurs, hurting Brazil's 2026/27 coffee crop. Vietnam’s Agriculture Ministry also said today that Vietnam’s Central Highlands, the country’s largest coffee-growing region, could face an El Niño-triggered drought later this year and early 2027.
