Cody Gakpo has revealed how he has enlisted the help of Roberto Firmino to adjust to his new role as Liverpool striker.
Gakpo forged a reputation as one of the brightest talents in Dutch football by performing on the left for PSV Eindhoven and the Netherlands international won the Eredivisie Footballer of the Year award last season for his performances.
The Oranje star also scored three times during the Qatar World Cup before Louis van Gaal's men were eliminated at the quarter-final stage on penalties to eventual winners Argentina.

That defeat came shortly before his early January move from PSV to Liverpool, and Gakpo has largely spent the fledgling months of his time as a Reds player operating down the middle of Jurgen Klopp's tried-and-trusted front three system.
Gakpo has scored four goals in total since moving for an initial £37m, including two against Manchester United in the stunning 7-0 win at Anfield last month.
The 23-year-old says the central position is one he is still adapting to but explained that he has been given tips from Firmino, who has operated as Liverpool's No.9 for much of the last eight years under Klopp.
Gakpo said: "I have played almost every game in that central position and for me it is just about getting used to that position. I don't know the long-term plan, you will have to ask the manager.
"For sure [Firmino has helped], Bobby is an amazing player and person. He tries to help me where I can and I really appreciate that. I like to be here and having a good time. Obviously the results have not been that good.
"If you don't look at the results, I feel good, the team is great and everybody helped in the beginning and I am looking forward to working hard with the team, improving and winning games.
"I think everyone knows this is a big club and you have to play for prizes. That is the mentality here. This season is not the best at this club, I think everyone can see that but it hasn't changed, we just have to keep fighting and bring this season to a good end."
Gakpo was a second-half substitute for Tuesday night's goalless draw at Chelsea, which leaves the Reds eighth in the Premier League and seven points adrift of Tottenham, who come to Anfield at the end of April.
It is league leaders Arsenal who are up next for Klopp's team, however, and Gakpo says everyone in the squad still firmly believes they can achieve a top-four finish as they approach their final 10 games of a difficult campaign.
Gakpo added: "I think if you see this game [against Chelsea], we got a point here and it is a small step in the right direction and for me it is something for the club to get some momentum again and start winning games again.
"Obviously when you don't have support from the home crowd it's slightly different but I don't know. We just have to be better in the away games. We wanted to win here but in the end we made a step in the right direction if you compare it to the last game, so we have to keep building on that and improve.
"I think we have a great squad and a lot of quality. We have to show it again like we have in some other games and then you see that the gap is not that big [to Arsenal].
"Unfortunately we also haven't shown it in other games and we haven't got the points but we must show it again. We know what we are capable of.
"Yes, [we can finish in the top four], we have to believe that. I think the spirit is there, we just have to stick together and we give it a try. We have to stick together and we have to keep going. Everyone knows how difficult it was [at Man City] but if we keep going, we will overcome it and that was [the message from Klopp]."
