Cocoa Prices Fall as Assets Markets Weighed Down by Global Trade War Fears

May ICE NY cocoa (CCK25) today is down -721 (-7.76%), and May ICE London cocoa #7 (CAK25) is down -274 (-4.12%).

Cocoa prices today are sharply lower as risk-off sentiment in asset markets is undercutting most commodity prices. Also, there is concern that consumer demand for cocoa and cocoa products will decline as an escalation of the global trade war boosts tariffs and increases already high cocoa prices.
