Ryan Grubb hired as OC
New Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald has added former Washington OC Ryan Grubb to be the Seahawks OC. He was headed to Alabama with Kalen DeBoer to lead the Crimson Tide offense but decided to leave for the Seattle job.
Seahawks add OL coach
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsThe Seahawks made Scott Huff their OL coach. He was the OL coach for Washington and went to Alabama with Ryan Grubb before signing with the Seahawks.
Geno Smith gets salary guarantee
Smith saw $12.7 million in injury guarantees convert into full guarantees this week. The Seahawks will keep him on the roster for now. They could move on from him but they will not do it yet.
More coaching additions
The Seahawks continued to build their coaching staff under Mike Macdonald.
Other reports include Jake Peetz as pass game coordinator, Devin Fitzsimmons as assistant special teams coach, Frisman Jackson as receiver coach and Kennedy Polamalu as running backs coach.
Quandre Diggs is Seahawks' biggest hater, best trash talker
In the offseason phase of awards, linebacker Bobby Wagner was asked about a few titles for teammates. He called DK Metcalf the best teammate and safety Quandre Diggs as Seattle’s biggest hater and best trash talker.
