Coach linked with Leeds United 'set to replace' Scott Parker at Club Brugge

Club Brugge boss Scott Parker is reportedly set to be replaced by Leeds United-linked manager Alfred Schreuder after their 5-1 loss to Benfica in the Champions League last night.

The Blauw-Zwart shipped five goals in 77 minutes before finally getting one of their own with just three minutes of normal time remaining, but the result is another stain on Parker's time with the club.

The former Bournemouth boss was already under pressure at his second station of the season following just one win in their last six matches in all competitions.

Now, the ex-Cherries manager is believed to be ready to be replaced by former Ajax boss Schreuder who has been out of a job since he himself was sacked in January by the Dutch club.

Schreuder was formerly the manager at Brugge, and even won the Belgian First Division last season before leaving for the Eredivisie side when Erik ten Hag joined Manchester United.

However, he might be ready to make a sensational return to Brugge if Parker is given the boot, although he might've been Leeds head coach if things had gone differently.

Just a few weeks ago, the Dutchman was seen at Elland Road following a match amid the club's search for a new boss. In the face of strong opposition from supporters, a move never materialised, with the club soon settling on former Watford chief Javi Gracia.
