PUNE: City Gas Distribution (CGD) company Maharashtra Natural Gas Ltd (MNGL) has reduced retail selling price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for vehicular segment in the Pune city, including Pimpri-Chinchwad and adjoining areas of Chakan, Talegaon and Hinjewadi, with effect from midnight of March 31/April 1, 2022.
CNG price has been reduced by Rs6.30 per kg, including taxes. CNG retail selling price is revised to Rs62.20 per kg from Rs68.50 per kg.
The domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) price has also been reduced by Rs3.40 per SCM, inclusive taxes. Revised domestic PNG price would be Rs33.70 per SCM from Rs37.10 per SCM from midnight of March 31/April 1, 2022. The revision has been exercised on account of reduction in VAT on natural gas from 13.5% to 3% w.e.f. April 1, 2022, as notified by the Government of Maharashtra.
