NEW DELHI: In a counterattack on Aam Aadmi Party functionaries for calling it a ‘goonda party’ after it felicitated eight Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activists accused of vandalisation at the chief minister house, Delhi BJP on Saturday called on the ruling party to introspect before blaming others.
Addressing a press conference, Delhi BJP general secretary Kuljeet Singh Chahal called AAP a party of “brokers, goondas, corrupt men and anti-nationals” and alleged that several ministers, MLAs and other functionaries had criminal cases against them.
“The AAP leaders should also know that 38 Delhi MLAs and more than 100 party functionaries have serious allegations against them,” claimed Chahal. “In fact, Arvind Kejriwal himself has 13 serious cases against him and (Okhla MLA) Amanatullah Khan has 12 cases registered against him. The list also includes (health minister) Satyendra Jain, (Malviya Nagar MLA) Somnath Bharti and others.”
