Cloudburst storm: Reality & myth

What is a Cloudburst?

It is a weather phenomenon which occurs in a span of an hour when rainfall is 10 cm or more and occurs in a localised area. The localised area could extend from a 10km radius up to 50km radius, explains K Nagaratna, Scientist E, IMD Hyderabad chief.
