In a recent development, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has confirmed its awareness of pressurization issues with the plane involved in a recent incident. According to reports by The Seattle Times, Alaska Airlines pilots had filed multiple reports of warning lights indicating a loss of cabin pressure in the days leading up to the incident. As a result, the affected Boeing planes were restricted from long-distance flights over water.
The question that arises from these findings is whether the pressurization issues and the absence of passengers in a specific row are related. Chairwoman El-Mendi stated that no one was sitting in that particular row during the incident. This raises the possibility of intentional avoidance of seating near the affected door or pure coincidence. The investigation will aim to unveil the connection between these two aspects.
