Classic sitcom stars say famous jokes stopped being funny on set

  • Tessa Peake-Jones, who played Raquel in Only Fools and Horses, revealed that actors, including David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, were often very nervous before filming scenes in front of a live audience.
  • Peake-Jones also stated that many classic jokes lost their humour for the cast due to repeated rehearsals before recording.
  • A new special, titled Only Fools and Horses: The Lost Archive, will air on U&A Gold, featuring Peake-Jones, Jason, Gwyneth Strong, and Sue Holderness.
  • The forthcoming special will include 66 previously unseen clips and scenes, digitally restored from 16mm negatives, and will pay tribute to the show's late creator, John Sullivan.
  • David Jason commented on the enduring love for Only Fools and Horses, expressing excitement about sharing these rediscovered moments with fans.
