How a Civic lakeside stadium could open by 2030

Federal Finance Minister Katy Gallagher and Canberra business leaders have thrown their support behind a proposal for a new stadium to be built on church land next to Lake Burley Griffin.

A consortium led by the owners of Canberra Airport believe a multipurpose stadium with lake views could open as early as 2030, if the proposal receives planning approval and financial backing from the federal government.
