City of Vincent proposes ban on smoke shops, shisha bars near schools after complaints

A West Australian council is hoping to stop smoke shops and shisha bars being set up near homes and schools, after residents complained about a smoke store located less than 300m from a local primary school.

Under the City of Vincent's plan, tobacco-related businesses also would not be allowed next to places of worship, parks, cafes, childcare centres and medical centres.
