The Citroen e-C3 is leading the charge in Europe’s pushback against cheaper Chinese EVs. It’s made in Europe (Slovakia, in case you’re wondering) and brings a wholly mature driving experience at a price that’s beaten by very few other electric cars, and none with the style, space and sophistication of the Citroen. And now we’ve driven it on UK roads, we’re more convinced than ever of its merits as a family runaround.
The e-C3 has precious few compromises. It’s really comfortable around town, as any Citroen should be, and fast enough when required. The cabin materials aren’t particularly posh, but there’s a fair degree of French style inside and out, and there’s space on board for four grown-ups, with a decent boot too.
