Cincinnati Bengals star gives game ball to local bar after play-off win vs Buffalo Bills

The Oak Tavern in Ohio has become the latest recipient of a game ball, as the Zac Taylor took the game ball to the Bling Pig in Cincinnati keep their play-off tradition going.

The Bengals like to give away a game ball to a local bar or establishment in the Cincinnati area when winning play-off games, and there have been a lot of successes over the past two seasons. They made it all the way to the Super Bowl last season before losing to Los Angeles Rams, and they're back in the AFC Championship once again.

Joe Burrow and his Bengals side beat the Buffalo Bills 27-10 on Sunday, and they made sure to bring a game ball back on the plane. And center Ted Karras took the ball to the Oak Tavern, before delivering a passionate speech to those enjoying a drink.

Last week after beating the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Buffalo Bills. And this week the Oak Tavern have got their own piece of sporting memorabilia.

Taylor took on the responsibility last week, but this time Karras addressed the local fans. And there is a clear reason why, as the Bengals star has a soft spot for this bar in particular.

Karras delivered the ball, and said: "This ball is from Zac Taylor, the Bengals organisation. I spent my first night ever out in Cincy right here at the Oak Tavern. We have a chance to punch our ticket to the Super Bowl next week, we're going to get it done! Here you go Oak Tavern, who dey!?"

The bar erupted, and Karras has made himself a legend in that establishment for life already. He spent his first ever night out in Cincinnati there, and one can only imagine the type of night out he may have if they clinch the Super Bowl. The Bengals went so close last year, missing out to the Rams 23-20. They're just one win away from heading straight back, but must get past the Kansas City Chiefs once more.

It's a repeat of the AFC Championship from last season, one that the Bengals edged 27-24 after overtime. Patrick Mahomes will be fired up to ensure that doesn't happen, but an injury sustained against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday could be a huge blow.

Should the Bengals beat the Chiefs, they'll have another ball to deliver and also a flight to catch for the Super Bowl. Either the San Francisco 49ers of the Philadelphia Eagles will be awaiting, with those sides also playing on Sunday in the NFC Championship.
