Ciena Corporation (CIEN) is back in the spotlight after receiving a major analyst upgrade. In fact, Evercore ISI analyst Amit Daryanani upgraded Ciena to “Outperform” and raised the firm’s price target to $550 from $375. Not only does that upgrade reflect Ciena’s strong role in optical networking and data center connectivity, but it also reflects the realization that AI servers, chips, and data centers must be able to communicate with each other quickly and efficiently.
