In 2020, he was diagnosed with a severe case of encephalitis, part of his complicated recovery after contracting covid a the beginning of the pandemic. This led to extensive physical and cognitive rehabilitation. His journey to recovery was arduous, but it also highlighted his resilience and determination. Chino's battle with his illness brought a renewed perspective on life and music, making his reunion with Nacho even more poignant.
