Ralph Lauren has always been in a league of his own. The designer's eponymous brand is pure Americana, which is why the label was selected to design Team USA's opening ceremony outfits for this year's Paris Olympic Summer Games. He broke ranks with other New York designers by opting out of showing during the regular New York Fashion Week schedule. Allowing the Ralph Lauren Fall/Holiday 2024 show to really shine.
Since fashion month was over, Lauren was able to book some top talent. Supermodel Christy Turlington opened the extravaganza in a monochrome ensemble. In fact, the whole collection revolved around neutrals and metallics. Flaunt your camel outfits during the day and bust out the metallics at night or for any holiday party. Or rock that sleek tuxedo to a really fancy gathering. FeiFei Sun, Imaan Hammam, Irina Shayk, Maty Fall and Rebecca Leigh Longendyke all strutted their stuff. Then Anok Yai shut things down.
Just because Lauren presented the show separately doesn't mean there aren't some Fall 2024 trends involved. The designer even combined two trends by sending fringed fur coats down the catwalk. There are also lots of options for anyone adhering to the cowboy core way of life. We'd actually love to see Beyoncé rock the final look featuring a glittering slip dress polished off with a black cowboy hat. Then there's the outfit boasting another cowboy hat and a belt with a big buckle, but the camel blazer, textured sweater and khakis take things to another level.
