A man has slammed delivery service Evri after his Christmas gift was left on his doorstep.
Nick Jimenezshaw had bought his wife a special gift for Christmas but could not believe it had been dumped in full view on his doorstep while he was out. Despite requesting delivery after 5pm when he ordered the parcel on Amazon, it was left by his front door at 11.42am.
Nick said Evri had marked the parcel as being in a "safe place"- but due to living on a busy street in North Wales, he believed it could easily have been taken by thieves, North Wales Live reports.

But their Christmas was saved when a passer-by spotted the parcel and moved it to behind the bin, out of view. The kind stranger then left a note explaining they were worried the parcel may have been stolen.
Nick, a furniture assembler, took to Facebook to vent his frustrations and to thank the person who hid his parcel. It prompted similar stories, including some from people whose parcels had disappeared after being delivered.
He said: "What upset me is that I told Evri that if no one’s in, the delivery should be left in a safe place. I also told them they could leave it with a neighbour.
"But they didn’t, they just dropped it on the front doorstep knowing it will be harder to get a refund as it’s classed as delivered. I always believe that if the door is not opened, it’s not delivered: photos mean nothing...
"I can’t believe Evri can do these things, leaving a package on a main high street for anyone to take. At this time of the year it’s totally unfair. It could have been a family with small budget expecting presents for their children."
An Evri spokesperson has since apologised and offered Nick a "gesture of good will" after he lodged a formal complaint. A second delivery was again left on his doorstep.
A spokesperson said: "Our local team will speak to the courier to remind him what constitutes a safe delivery place and ensure this doesn’t happen again. We will also speak to Mr Jimenezshaw to apologise and offer him a gesture of goodwill. We are glad that he has his parcel safely now."
Online customers pointed out the firm wasn’t alone in often leaving parcels as one woman commented: "Most of the delivery firms do exactly the same. But everyone keeps slagging only Evri. I always find my parcels on the doorstep, and the items were like a sofa, child’s car seat, electric oven. Luckily they were still there when I got home."
Evri has come under fire recently after it came last for a second year running in a parcel league table by Citizens Advice. Citizens Advice measured the performance of the top five companies by parcel volume using data from its Consumer Service, consumer polling and social media complaints.
An Evri spokeswoman previously said: "As the UK’s leading dedicated parcel company, Evri delivers over two million parcels each day and we pride ourselves on offering a fast, reliable, sustainable service which doesn’t cost the earth for consumers and businesses alike."
