Christine McGuinness shares heartbreak as family death 'hit me harder' after Paddy split

Christine McGuinness says that life is "unpredictable" after opening up about the death of her nan.

The mum-of-three, who is enjoying a holiday in Devon following the breakdown of her marriage to Paddy McGuinness, shared the heartfelt post.

The update comes just days after she said that she was "on top of the world" after parting ways with her husband of 11 years.

"I know I'm being quieter on here, I hope to be back properly soon," she wrote on the photo of a sea view.

"I'm just needing some time out, thinking lots, life is short, unpredictable and sometimes crazy.

"My Nan, the one with the words of wisdom, joined my grandad in heaven last week and it's hit me harder than I ever imagined.

"Then my dad turned 60... if you have read my story you will understand why this is huge, I can't help but wonder how he made it this far.

"But I'm so grateful he is still here, even with his struggles, I'm thankful for that.

"Anyway, life is crazy, we're half way through the school summer holidays again, if you know... you know! I'm slightly exhausted! But happy, healthy and grateful for life."

Sharing a snap of a beautiful beach front, she took a moment to thank her followers for their support.

It read : "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify.

"A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus was as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.

"This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.

"We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."

Close friends have said that the TV star "can't stop smiling" after finding her feet following a difficult few months.

"Christine feels like she has shed so many of her insecurities and is growing in confidence every day. Her kids will always come first, but she had found time for herself again, and that self-love is the secret behind her smile," a source told Closer.
