Christine McGuinness has admitted that she feels “a little lost” after her 11-year marriage to Paddy McGuinness came to an end. The 34-year-old mum of three and the 49-year-old Top Gear host announced the end of their relationship with a joint Instagram statement last month.
Model Christine had shared a number of uplifting social media posts since the break-up but appeared to be feeling a little more measured in her recent snaps. The blonde shared a picture of a pink street sign which said: "You'll always feel a little lost right before you find yourself."
OK! reported that she had also showed clips of her enjoying a "gorgeous sunset" and being joined by a "lonely bird" on the banks of the River Thames. Christine even shared a video of her enjoying a game of darts on a night out while posing happily for a snap in the street.
The Games contestant Christine recently showed off a new look after having her hair cut, which she displayed with a mirrored selfie. Captioning the images with “Here’s some August for you. I’ve missed you," she then listed all the things that made her "smile" – including spending additional time with her kids, having her haircut and working on a project.
Despite the public nature of their breakup, Christine appears determined to make the most of her fresh start. However, she was dealt a tragic blow last month when she revealed he nan had died.
The model, who had been enjoying a holiday in Devon following the breakdown of her marriage, admitted that life was "unpredictable". In a post sharing the sad news with fans, she wrote: "My Nan, the one with the words of wisdom, joined my grandad in heaven last week and it's hit me harder than I ever imagined.
"Then my dad turned 60... if you have read my story you will understand why this is huge, I can't help but wonder how he made it this far. But I'm so grateful he is still here, even with his struggles, I'm thankful for that.
"I know I'm being quieter on here, I hope to be back properly soon. I'm just needing some time out, thinking lots, life is short, unpredictable and sometimes crazy."
Christine's ex-husband Paddy was recently seen out and about in Manchester as he arrived at The Lowry Hotel. Instead of the traditional cake and presents, Paddy opted to perform 49 press-ups to mark his 49 years in the world.
A video of the milestone was posted on his Instagram with the caption:"49 for 49 and feeling fine! Happy Birthday to all my fellow Leo’s!!!! Hope y’all have a wonderful Birthday. Did I mention it’s my birthday today? Get on that @keithlemon!"
