Christine Lampard has opened up about trying to protect her two young children in the hot summer weather.
The 43-year-old star is hosting ITV's Lorraine this week and welcomed Dr Hilary Jones into the studio on Monday's show. Addressing viewers, Christine said: "If you were out in the sun this weekend, you might be waking up with sunburn this morning."
Dr Hilary then shared his tips and advice for dealing with sunburnt skin - and was keen to urge viewers not to turn to TikTok for solutions. "Don't put vinegar on sore skin!" he said in reference to one bizarre TikTok video which uses white wine vinegar to treat sunburn.
"Where does that even come from?" Christine replied looking horrified, before adding: "There are some good things though?" Dr Hilary then gave a few examples including black tea bags and milk.
Christine commented: "I'm always thinking in case, God forbid, a child gets burnt which is my fear in this weather the past couple of weeks." She then revealed how she and her husband Frank Lampard have been protecting their kids and said: "Just cover up, basically is what we've been doing."
Christine shares daughter Patricia and son Frederick with her husband Frank. She is also stepmother to his two daughters from his first marriage.
Just recently, Christine gushed about how her three-year-old daughter takes after Frank with her love of football.
During a discussion on Loose Women regarding the Lionesses' incredible win against Sweden in the Euro semi-finals, Christine confirmed that her daughter plays football every week.
Speaking to her co-stars, Christine recalled watching the game with her daughter and imagined that she could be wearing a number 8 Lampard shirt in the future.
She said: "We were certainly watching it in our house. I thought it was fantastic! I sat for the majority of it with my little three year old girl who loves football, albeit she is heavily influenced by her father.
"But she loves football - she goes to a little football class every single week and she thinks it's one of the best things to do. She naturally wants to take a ball to the park, she wants to be kicking it around," Christine added.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV and ITV Hub.
