Christian Pulisic ’s Dad appeared to join in the criticism of Thomas Tuchel over the weekend as he liked tweets slamming the Chelsea boss as a “destroyer” of players.
The German has enjoyed a hugely successful spell at Stamford Bridge thus far since being appointed as Frank Lampard’s replacement in January 2021. He has claimed the club’s second Champions League title, whilst also adding the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup to his trophy haul.
However, the Blues’ start to the new season hasn’t quite gone to plan having won just one of their opening three games, whilst the Londoners slumped to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday.
Following the match, plenty of Chelsea fans took to Twitter with their thoughts on the game - some particularly scathing in their criticism of Tuchel. Pulisic - who appeared off the bench at Elland Road - was also the topic of some supporters' thoughts, with the American’s dad Mark appearing to agree with those sentiments having liked three tweets.
One read: “100%!! Chelsea need a confident Pulisic. Tuchel is a destroyer of players and team dynamics. Without the ability to build and inspire them, he is only left to discard what he has broken and buy new to only rinse and repeat.”
Meanwhile, further tweets called for Pulisic to be handed more starts, beginning with next weekend’s clash against West Ham United.

“If you give Pulisic the benefit of the doubt and start him as consistently as you do Havertz/Mount, you’ll be rewarded with quality football and GOALS. This is facts,” one fan suggested.
Another wrote: “If Pulisic doesn’t get the start vs West Ham next week, he needs to go for his own good. We’ve seen enough of Kai [Havertz] and Mount to start the season.”
Pulisic faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge with just a week-and-a-half remaining of the current window. The former Borussia Dortmund star has been linked with an exit from Chelsea having never quite established himself in the first-team since sealing a move from the Bundesliga giants.
Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester United have been linked with a possible swoop, with some reports suggesting that the Red Devils had lodged an enquiry regarding the 23-year-old’s availability.
Meanwhile, it has been suggested that he could be involved in a potential swap deal regarding Red Devils’ captain Harry Maguire - Chelsea keen to add further to their defensive options amid their chase for Leicester City star Wesley Fofana.
Pulisic has just two years remaining on his current contract in West London. In all, he has scored 25 goals in 118 appearances for the Blues having arrived for £58m in the summer of 2019.
