Christa Pike remains unconscious and on a ventilator after Tennessee's failed attempt to execute her by lethal injection on 30 September.

Her lawyer, Assistant Federal Defender Stephen Ferrell, said Sunday that he was unaware Pike had regained consciousness. Her legal team has said her prognosis remains unclear.
