Smirking Chris Sutton insists Rangers shouldn't be celebrating the win over Borussia Dortmund because "it's half-time".
Gio van Bronckhorst's men impressed against the Bundesliga side as they cruised to a 4-2 first leg victory in Germany.
But with the second leg still to come at Ibrox, Sutton called for calm from fans - and specifically a jubilant Ally McCoist.
The Rangers legend offered a rave review of the Europa League showing from his former side on BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra.
McCoist said: "It's one of the best European performances from a Scottish team in the last 25 years.
"I'm sure the magnanimous Chris Sutton is going to agree with me that it was one of the better performances from a Scottish team in Europe.
Celtic hero Sutton laughed: "A brilliant performance, unbelievable performance.
"Dortmund weren't at their strongest, and Erling Haaland is to come back. What could happen then? Dortmund could blow Rangers away in the second-leg, couldn't they?
"And the fact of the matter is you're celebrating half-time. Who celebrates half-time?
"Who does that? I don't know. But well done to Rangers."
