Around 1,600 suspected baby teeth have reportedly been recovered from a site in Mexico where searchers say they found charred bone fragments and what appeared to be a makeshift burning site. Yet forensic investigators have not established how many children, if any, the material represents.
The reported discovery was made by Buscando Cuerpos en Todo México, a collective founded by search activist Margarita López. The claims have attracted international attention, but authorities have not publicly confirmed the number, origin or identity of possible victims.
