Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, recently expressed his gratitude towards Taylor Swift during a concert in Düsseldorf, Germany. While playing the band’s song “Everglow” on the piano, Martin dedicated the performance to Swift, who had just left town after her own nearby shows in Gelsenkirchen.
In a video captured by a fan, Martin can be heard saying, “This is for Taylor Swift because she left town. This is for all of you who feel sad today because Taylor had to go to the next city. So we sing this love song, this heartbreak song, and send it to Taylor wherever she is today.”
Swift, on the other hand, took to social media to express her gratitude to her fans for the success of her latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department' (TTPD). The album achieved a significant milestone by staying at number one for the first 12 weeks of its release, a feat unprecedented in Swift’s career.
Released in April during her Eras tour, TTPD is believed to be inspired by Swift’s past relationships with Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy. The album's success led to a new segment in her tour, featuring tracks from TTPD during the European leg of the concerts that began in May.
Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been vocal in his support for her tour. Kelce praised the revamped Eras Tour, encouraging fans to experience the new segment featuring songs from TTPD. He described the show as 'absolutely unbelievable' and recommended everyone to attend.
