Chris Holtmann reflects on Michigan loss, talks Northwestern and state of program

It was a January to forget for the Ohio State basketball team, and February hasn’t started much better. It’s been a long time since the Buckeye basketball program has been in this kind of slide, and at this point, it’s hard to see a way out aside from the end of the season.

After the loss to Michigan on the road Sunday, the Buckeyes have now lost nine of their last ten games. The team is reeling, and head coach Chris Holtmann is searching and prodding for answers.

Holtmann faced some of the music on Monday when he sat down with ESPN affiliate 97.1 The Fan in Columbus to touch on what he saw from the team against Michigan, and where things are headed with the young bunch trying to find its way in the rough and tumble Big Ten.

The Buckeyes will next be in action against Northwestern in the Schott Thursday night. Maybe, just maybe, they can notch another win and start to show some positive momentum down the homestretch of the season.
