It has been a dramatic 24 hours, with Conor Benn having tested positive for a banned substance in the build-up for his highly anticipated catchweight fight between the sons of two boxing greats.
The British Boxing Board of Control's refusal to sanction the bout means that there are ongoing talks today in order to salvage the fight, with reports that Benn is seeking an injunction in order to overturn the British Boxing Board of Control's decision. There had also been talk of an overseas body sanctioning the fight, however, these rumours have been denied by Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn.
The pair are set to come face to face this afternoon, in a press conference ahead of their fight at the O2 Arena on Saturday night, with lots to be said between the pair. While the fight is not 100% confirmed to be taking place, it appears as though both parties remain keen to enter the ring together.
