Chilean President Gabriel Boric Reveals He Has A 'Baby Reindeer'-esque Stalker

En español

Chilean President Gabriel Boric is embroiled in a controversy following accusations of sexual harassment and the alleged non-consensual distribution of images by a woman.

However, newly surfaced email records suggest Boric may be the victim in this case, drawing parallels to the Netflix series 'Baby Reindeer,' which is based on real events. The story broke via the Chilean news outlet Meganoticias, which published a detailed thread of emails exchanged between the accuser and the president.

According to Boric's lawyer, Jonatan Valenzuela, the president was the target of "systematic harassment" through emails sent between 2013 and 2014.

"My client was the victim of emails constituting systematic harassment against him," Valenzuela stated.

He revealed that Boric received 25 emails from the accuser, some containing explicit images sent without his consent. These emails have been submitted to prosecutors as part of the legal proceedings.

A troubling email history

The emails suggest the accuser and Boric may have interacted during their time at the Judicial Assistance Corporation (CAJ). In one email from 2013, the accuser writes:

"Do you want to know the image I have of you? I'll never forget when we were at the CAJ (Judicial Assistance Corporation), and I was reviewing some files. I turned around, and you were behind me. We stared at each other for about two seconds. Back then, I was incredibly sad because of the terrible things I was going through, which I now know you also went through. But then you showed up, and you changed my life."

Additional emails, sent in 2013, were reportedly romantic in tone. In one, the accuser offered support for Boric's political campaign and asked for his help finding a job.

However, by late 2014, the tone shifted dramatically. The accuser began to express anger and frustration, writing, "Thanks for ruining my life, you bastard."

The tone of the emails grew increasingly hostile. The accuser claimed she spent money to meet Boric, accusing him of ignoring her efforts: "You could at least return the $450,000 I spent trying to see you."

In another email, the accuser referenced death in a perplexing manner: "I don't want to die, and you keep listening to everyone else. Do you want to die? Just do it already. At least I'll die at peace knowing I loved truly and didn't commit a single sin. I also know you've treated me like the worst trash in the universe, worse than a prostitute."

Unresolved Questions

The uncanny resemblance between this situation and the storyline of 'Baby Reindeer' has drawn widespread attention. While the true context and authenticity of the emails remain unclear, the public eagerly awaits definitive answers to the allegations and the overall truth of this complex case.
