Child rushed to hospital and road closed after crash in Bray

A child was rushed to hospital this afternoon after being hit by a car in Bray.

The crash happened on the Killarney Road at around 3pm. The road is currently closed to traffic but is expected to reopen soon.

Emergency services attended the scene and the child was brought to CHI at Temple Street for treatment.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardai attended the scene of a single car RTC and pedestrian on Killarney Rd, Bray at approximately 3pm today, Tuesday 31 May.

"It is understood the car collided with a pedestrian (juvenile). Pedestrian has since been transferred to CHI at Temple Street to be treated for their injuries.

"Road is currently closed and expected to reopen again soon."
