The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the hottest teams in the league, as they are currently on a four-game winning streak. The season opener loss is the only blemish on the record as it took place at home on a Thursday night, and the team gets a sense of redemption as they face off with a division rival this week in prime time.
The Denver Broncos come into Arrowhead Stadium with a disappointing 1-4 record under new head coach Sean Payton. The criticism has circled the performance and leadership of quarterback Russell Wilson. Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes addressed the media on Tuesday and supported Wilson’s play so far this season.

He’s won Super Bowls. He’s put up crazy numbers, so a lot of like people kind of like some other quarterbacks who put all the blame on him.
“But he’s playing great football, and sometimes the score doesn’t go your way. And so I know this will really be a hard-fought battle. Last year was a hard-fought battle against the Broncos. Both times, we played because they have a top quarterback and a good defense. And so I’m excited for the opportunity that we have to go up against a great team.”
The Chiefs swept the season series last year against the Broncos when the team was under former head coach Nathaniel Hackett.
