JAIPUR: Once the backbone of the Indian team, Cheteshwar Pujara might not be currently representing India, but is definitely not finished as a player. The 36-year-old from Saurashtra sent a strong message to the national selectors as he slammed his second century in a Group A fixture of the Ranji Trophy against Rajasthan at the SMS Stadium here on Friday.
It was not one of the easy wickets to bat on, but the 36-year-old, who struck 9 fours, toiled hard and navigated smartly en route to his knock of 110 (off 230 balls), his 62nd first-class ton. The veteran is currently the third highest scorer in the ongoing Ranji Trophy with 648 runs in six games to his name.
